Str8 iz the new Gay
Was there end of last season and I was the only gay person there. I would have felt under dressed in a tux. I would also not classify this as a gay bar under any circumstances. It was just like walking into any str8 restaurant anywhere in the country. I felt like I was going to be blood tested and credit checked the entire time. Upper middle and Middle class str8, stiffnecked, over chic, Trendy to the point of wondering if they thought str8 was the new gay. Regretably the family will be bringing me back since they think its great. They dont get that a gay bar is gay because its the only place to feel free of the constraints placed by having to adjust to straight people.
Great Experience
This second floor piano bar is lots of fun. It is well decorated and you will need to come early. It was packed on the two nights we were there. It's a mixed crowd, but mostly gay and very gay friendly. Service was great, servers cute and the singing, lots of fun. A really unexpectedly nice experience in a resort town.
One of the main staples of an Ogunquit experience!
I have eaten downstairs in the dining room and I have had coctails upstairs whilst listening to the cheerful piano-bar entertainment. If you are vacationing Ogunquit, I highly recommend checking out the Front Porch!
average
Has 10 people at 11:30. Kitchen's closed at 11. They are going for a clean, classy look. They make the grade. Bartender is an ass. But this is prob the 3rd best bar in town. Go to Maine Street, they are much nicer.
